WebAn Introduction to Symplectic Geometry for Lagrangian Floer Homology. Expository master’s thesis (2024) written as part of my Ph.D. qualifying exam, supervised by Prof. Jonathan Block. This thesis introduces symplectic geometry with an eye towards developing Floer homology for Lagrangian intersections. One conceivable way to construct a Floer homology theory of some object would be to construct a related spectrum whose ordinary homology is the desired Floer homology. Applying other homology theories to such a spectrum could yield other interesting invariants.
