WebFeb 23, 2015 · Abstract Recently, phosphorene, a monolayer honeycomb structure of black phosphorus, was experimentally manufactured and has attracted rapidly growing interest. Motivated by phosphorene, here we investigate the stability and electronic properties of the honeycomb structure of the arsenic system based on first-principles calculations. WebPhosphorene has a band gap of 3.28 eV, having HOMO and LUMO energies of −6.01 eV and −2.72 eV, respectively. Chlorambucil has an energy gap of 5.28 eV, with HOMO and LUMO energies of −5.49 and −0.21 eV, respectively.
